God Says, “Let’s do Lunch.”
In my last two articles, Have you left God in Bed and Breakfast with God. We learned the importance of starting your day off right. Start by hitting your knees in prayer. And savoring breakfast feeding on the presence and word of God.Then, instead of leaving God at home in bed; Take Him with you, throughout your whole day. Walk and fellowship with Jesus in each and every moment.
Remember to be aware of your own carnal desires, flesh, and temptations thrown at you by the enemy. Stay vigilant, seek, and follow Jesus. Allow the Lord to reveal Himself to you. It might just surprise you to learn what many of you have been missing in your life.
I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me. (Proverbs 8:17)
For
I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of
peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will
call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you
will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:11-13)
But
without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God
must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who
diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)
Yep., You guessed it, by the title I’m sure. God also wants you to do Lunch! Only thing is.., when God does lunch; He does it in a Big Way.
Freewill
You need to make a freewill choice to wake up with God and invite Him to walk with you throughout each day. Your conscious decision to Love and Fellowship with Him opens the door of His heart through provision and care.
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. (Matthew 6:31-34)
This is why God says, “Let’s do Lunch.” Accept His offer, and let Him show you His love. God showed us an example of His provisions in two miracles, by feeding 5000 and again 4000 people lunch.
These two miracles are sometimes lumped into one lunchtime account. These are not only separate lunches and miraculous events. They have deeper spiritual truths to be learned and considered.
A Little Boy’s Lunch.
In feeding the 5000 the only person ready and ‘In It to Win It’ was a little boy who actually brought a sack lunch. Not only was he the only one with any food; The little boy showed us his own personal sacrifice, love, and trust in Jesus. The little boy showed up with his offering and freely shared it with everyone.
The little boy said, “Yes.” to God’s invitation to Lunch.
The “Feeding of 5,000″ is the only miracle recorded in all four Gospel books: (Matthew 14:13-21, Mark 6:30-44, Luke 9:10-17, and John 6:1-15)
The “Feeding of 4,000″ is recorded in only two Gospel books: (Matthew 15:32-39 and Mark 8:1-10)
In the two miracles of loaves and fishes we find one for the Jew and one for the Gentile. Jesus does this miracle in two separate locations to show equality without partially to nationality, age, or gender. We see Jesus bringing harmony into one united Church.
There
is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is
neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.(Galatians 3:28)
For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,. (Ephesians 2:14)
The second account of feeding 4000 (not including women and children) occurred in the Decapolis wilderness region. Jesus’ ministry during this period of time was predominantly among Gentiles.
Five Thousand ‘plus’ people sat on green grass and ate loaves of bread made of barley, which is the first grain to ripen at the Jewish Passover time. Five loaves also symbolizing the Torah’s first five books of the bible. Coincidence?
The 12 (baskets) refers to the 12 tribes of Israel which were leftover after the feeding of 5000. In which Jesus said,“Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.” (John 6:12) Referencing to the fact that none would be lost to salvation through Jesus’ Ministry. Coincidence?
In feeding the 4000 there were 7 loaves and 7 large baskets of leftovers (Mark 8:20). Symbolizing the number of completion. The use of 7 (loaves and baskets) refers to the spiritual completion and perfection as both Jews and Gentiles are fed by Jesus the Bread of Life. Coincidence?
And
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall
never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. (John 6:35)
Satan’s Perversion
Satan’s perversion of scriptures would like to lead everyone to think on these two separate accounts as one lunchtime event. Satan does not what anyone to understand the deep meanings mentioned above.
Satan certainly does not want the world to know the prophetic harmony between the Old and New Testaments. This revelation of harmony is shown straight out of the gates of Egypt into the wilderness of the Desert, all the way to the wilderness of Decapolis, clear into the grassy hills of Bethsaida.
One must also keep in mind; In both miracles, not only just the act of feeding thousands of people but, they were all ‘lost’. Jews and the Gentiles alike were ‘lost’. Just like in the Great Exodus out of Egypt when the mixed multitude of their ancestors wandered in the desert. These people were lost and looking for a Savior to give them a better way of life.
A mixed multitude went up with them also, and flocks and herds—a great deal of livestock. (Exodus 12:38)
Satan does not want you to know that there is indeed a third prophetic miracle of feeding a large number of people lunch. This is recorded in the Old Testament and points to Jesus feeding thousands in the New Testament. (2 Kings 4:42-44)
This shows further proof of the harmony that exits between the Old and New Testaments. This miracle was given by Elisha when he fed ‘One Hundred Men’. Coincidence?
Then a man came from Baal Shalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley bread, and newly ripened grain in his knapsack. And he said, “Give it to the people, that they may eat.” But his servant said, “What? Shall I set this before one hundred men?” He said again, “Give it to the people, that they may eat; for thus says the Lord: ‘They shall eat and have some left over.’” So he set it before them; and they ate and had some left over, according to the word of the Lord. (2 Kings 4:42-44)
Satan does not want you to ever accept God’s invitation to do Lunch.
God want’s to have ‘lunch’ with you. Satan want’s to have ‘you’ for lunch.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8)
God wants to be with you now and eternally forever. The Jewish word is Avi’ad (a-vee-AD) Everlasting Father; Your Father of Eternity.
For
unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government
will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful,
Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.(Isaiah 9:6)
Your Abundance
We as Christians must present our lives before God in the spirit of obedient sacrifice. You mustn’t ever think on your gifts or talents as being lowly or insignificant (Romans 12:1).
God will shatter Satan’s lies that are whispered into your ears. All we have to do is present back to the Lord what you have already been given. Just like when Jesus took the little boy’s faith gift and turned it into a feast. Jesus took a little boy’s little and turned it into a large crowds lots.
If you are willing to sacrificially relinquishing your own special gifts, time, money, talents, etc. Essentially anything you have a controlling hold on, given to you by God. God will turn these things into the extraordinary for his purposes. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, (Ephesians 3:20)
God said He would and He did. This is no Coincidence.
I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread. (Psalm 132:15)
