The Subconsciously Conscience Christian
What does it mean to be subconsciously conscience and more importantly is it even possible? In my opinion Yes!
What
I am referring to is the practice of keeping Jesus at the forefront of
your mind’s eye. Make a conscience decision to let go and let God guide
your life. Let the Holy Spirit within your heart; inside of your mind’s
eye, help you to make a quick subconscious instinctual decision rooted
in Christlike behavior. (Romans 8:28)
What I am proposing here is not some ‘new age mumbo jumbo’, the Apostle Paul spoke of this issue in (Romans 7:15-20) “For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice.” In verse 20 he states that it is the sin that dwells in him, “Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.”
The
Apostle Paul approached this problem by writing the epistle to reshape
and wrap the Roman’s self-conscience-nous around their
Christ-conscience-nous. He is trying to make us realize that the inner
conflict we all experience is due to a built in sin nature.
Ever
since Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden,
everyone born is born into the sin that Adam and Eve invited into
mankind (Genesis 3:6). This is the very reason that Jesus Christ did not have an Earthly father and was born of a virgin. (Matthew 1:18-25)
This is where the colloquial expression, “The devil made me do it” comes from. This is a cute little perversion of Satan to keep humanity from realizing that there is a lot we can do about this inherited sin nature.
When we are saved through Jesus Christ we take on a new nature. (2 Corinthians 5:17) “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
Salvation shatters the mold and allows for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 3:16)
This scripture tells us that we are the temple of God and that the
Spirit of God dwells in us. We still have a sin nature but now we have
the Holy Spirit to guide and teach us.
Becoming a Subconsciously Conscience Christian
is attained by allowing Jesus to live through us not just in us. When
you wake up in the morning instead of just saying a morning prayer then
diving into the grind of the day alone. I propose that you stay on the
‘phone of prayer’ to Jesus and not hang up the phone. Just like in the
days of your first love when a phone conversation would last all night,
or until you had to hang up because of the snoring on the other end of
the line.
This
passion to stay connected to a boyfriend/girlfriend can be the same
with Christ-conscience-nous. Do not hang up the phone. Let Jesus walk
with you and talk with you throughout the entire day. Practice this type
of relationship with your Savior until you are so in tune with the Mind
of Christ that your conscience thoughts become an automatic instinctual
subconscious behavior rooted in Christ.
In your practice to become a Subconsciously Conscience Christian
just remember to stay alert to what you are really thinking and filter
your thoughts with scripture. As Christians we have the mind of Christ,
we just do not fully practice using it. (1 Corinthians 2:16) Satan lied to Adam and Eve and will surely lie to you and I. (John 8:44) This verse tells us he is the Father of Lies and refers to the first deceptive lie in the Garden of Eden.
Becoming a Subconsciously Conscience Christian
is a relationship with Jesus that spills out all over the world
infecting everyone and everything you come in contact with. The
by-product of this kind of relationship with Jesus is a
self-conscience-nous that allows us to stand firm in all of the truths
of God’s Word (Ephesians 6:13). This kind of relationship opens all the doors and promises in scripture with an unshakeable faith that sends Satan running. (James 4:7)
Satan’s goal is to end your walk. Jesus’ goal is to walk with you to the ‘end‘.
