Spiritual Hard Drive
I was forced to replaced the hard drive in my laptop. The Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology or SMART for short, began reporting errors. Smart is a software diagnostic routine built into a hard drive’s firmware.
This ‘SMART’
technology monitors the health of a hard disk by running tests that can
give indicators of not only the health; but also of impending failures
inside the hard disk itself.
This little jaunt into replacing a disk drive sounds simple enough; but, this does not even
begin to expound upon the fear and anguish of losing the countless
daunting hours of work and information contained within my hard drive.
As
you can deduce, I and my Data obviously survived the ordeal, as I am
currently writing this on the same laptop. Now, with a new solid state
hybrid disk drive.
You
might be asking, “What does this have to do with God?” Why, Thank you
for asking! My mind was quickened to this technology depended world we
live in.
This is the point in this article where, ‘I thought about’
wowing you with statistics concerning the massive amount of
smartphones, tablets, laptops, and personal computers in worldwide use
right now. The reality is… you can get a pretty good idea on your own just by looking around.
Let
this reality really sink in for just a minute. Allow the Lord to
quicken your mind to the fact that most of the people in the world today
are more concerned with the health and lifespan of their devices than
their own. Let alone, their fellow-man.
Now realize; not unlike a hard disk drive’s imminent, eventual, and certain failure. One day your heart and mind will cease to function. Your body will fail and you will be face to face with eternity. It’s either in heaven or hell!
Where will you be spending it?
Also realize; only you can choose where. You can tap into the Holy Spirit’s wisdom and guidance. Your own built-in spiritual Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology.
Everyone
can feel the Holy Spirit. The choice is whether or not someone chooses
to acknowledge that nudge to the conscience and respond appropriately;
or suppress, ignore, and quench the Spirit’s call.
Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. (1 Thessalonians 5:19-22)
Let
the Holy Spirit be your helper. Your inner conscience sent to guide you
by being your source of wisdom, comfort, and conviction.
Nevertheless
I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I
do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will
send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of
sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: (John 16:7-8)
Conviction
to accept Jesus and live a moral and ethical life; while being an
abundant source of endless comfort, satisfaction, and love. Let the
Spirit be the gauge by which you can monitor your life.
Accepting
Jesus and receiving the Holy Spirit is like putting a new hard drive
into an old computer to give it new life. Will you receive a brand new
redeemed body (Romans 8:23) or will you be cast away into Hell’s burn pile destined to the Lake of Fire.
Then
Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second
death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into
the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:14-15)
But
the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral,
sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake
which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Revelation 21:8)
Satan’s Perversion
Satan
has the world focused on smartphone’s, computers, and social media.
Look around and see how many heads are down texting. All the while;
everyone’s end draws nearer and nearer.
What man can live and not see death? Can he deliver his life from the power of the grave? (Psalm 89:48)
Satan
wants the world to believe there is no heaven, hell, God, Satan, or
Jesus. Satan wants you and the world blindly following technology,
heretical science, false doctrine, and the self indulgences offered by
the worldwide web of chaos. Meanwhile, You and I, along with billions of other souls will inevitably face certain death.
But
even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest
the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God,
should shine on them. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)
Satan says,
“Don’t worry about the future. Live in the moment. If it feels good do
it. It’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. You have plenty
of time so live it up while you can.”
These
are all tactics of distraction the enemy uses to deceive your
conscience; diversions to keep you from choosing to accept and live for
Christ.
Satan wants to seduce your procrastination while plotting your demise. Jesus wants to give you new life.
The
thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I
have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more
abundantly. (John 10:10)
New Life
During
the time I was awaiting the delivery of my new Hybrid Drive. I
diligently pursued preserving my data. I made rescue disks, system
images, and complete backups.
In
the scurry to salvage my system. My thoughts constantly drifted to the
similarities between my hard drive’s certain death and humanity’s
mortality.
Putting
a new hard drive into a computer is analogous to the redemptive
salvation through Christ and becoming a new creation, new man, and a
renewal of your mind. In essence, a brand New Life.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
and
be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man
which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. (Ephesians 4:23-24)
And
do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing
of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and
perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2)
This
is fantastic news that the secular world and Satan wants quenched in
the lust of fleshly lies, that lead people to Eternal Damnation in Hell.
Second Chance
Everyone
still breathing has the ability to install a new spiritual hard drive
into their life. Fortunate to become a new creation in Christ. An epic
opportunity to live forever in a redeemed body with Jesus in the
Paradise of Heaven.
Not
only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we
ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the
redemption of our body. (Romans 8:23)
Your
spiritual hard drive is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The Holy
Spirit can and will guide you. This is how God reveals Himself to
Believers. The Holy Spirit is your source of wisdom and power, your new wellspring of knowledge that will never fail.
that
the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you
the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of
your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the
hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance
in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward
us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He
worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His
right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power
and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this
age but also in that which is to come. (Ephesians 1:17-21)
But there is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding. (Job 32:8)
Now
we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is
from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to
us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom
teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things
with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the
Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them,
because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:12-14)
This tremendous wealth of knowledge is given freely to all who know the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. Just simply ask.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5)
The Holy Spirit is your spiritual database of wisdom, love, and comfort that will never leave or forsake you. The only thing you can take with you; even through death.
Be
strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the
Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you
nor forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6)
Let
your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as
you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake
you. (Hebrews 13:5)
Providential Pathway
I
purchased a cable that would allow me to connect my laptop to my new
drive externally. This pathway allowed me to make a mirror image of my
failing drive. In essence, I was making another drive in the image of the original.
Then
God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let
them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air,
and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing
that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the
image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (Genesis 1:26-27)
This
cable not only allowed the two hard drives to be mirror images of each
other; it was also the only way to save my computer from the burn pile.
My laptop came with a factory installed operating system (OS). It would
cost too much to purchase installation disks to install an OS. Not to
mention the added cost of a blank new drive. A newer laptop with a
factory OS would be more cost-effective.
Since
my laptop still had breath, and I did not tarry, it could be saved.
This cable was a providential pathway accessing its new life.
Jesus is your providential pathway to new life and redemption. Jesus is the only way to heaven. Jesus will install in you a spiritual hard drive to comfort and guide your life.
Jesus,
like the cable, is your conduit to eternal life in Heaven. Not only can
you plug yourself into a glorious afterlife; you can have access to all
of God’s covenant blessings and promises ‘right now’ while still in your mortal flesh.
There is no other name, way, god, belief system, religion, or earthly work by which you can gain access to Heaven. Jesus is the one and only way to Heaven.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6)
For
there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ
Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, (1 Timothy 2:5-6)
Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
For
God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our
Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we
should live together with Him. (1 Thessalonians 5:9-10)
For
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever
believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God
did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the
world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not
condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he
has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:16-18)

Pray Now!! Pray this simple prayer to trust Jesus as your Savior:
“Lord
Jesus, I am a sinner and I need a Savior. Right now I will turn away
and repent from my sin and accept you as my Lord and Savior. I trust and
believe that You are the Son of God, my Lord and Savior for my
salvation, I know and believe that You died on the Cross and rose again
