Pressurized Faith
There was an ancient Greek inventor and mathematician named Ctesibius (Greek: Κτησίβιος; 285–222 BC). Ctesibius is credited with writing the first dissertation on the science of compressed air and its uses in pumps. Ctesibius is not only credited with inventing both air and water pumps, he even invented an air operated cannon of war.
His realization of air as a tangible substance with elastic properties earned him the title of “father of pneumatics.” I’d say this was some pretty phenomenal thinking for a man whose profession was really a barber.
Ctesibius was able to think “outside of the box”. He took a common unseen substance called air and put it to work in our lives. This unseen substance breathed to sustain life, could now be used in a way people could wrap their minds around. Air could be seen and used in a tangible way.
Air Your Faith
I challenge you to air out your faith. Realize that your faith has substance like the air you breath. God has given to each of us a measure of faith. Take it out and use it.
Let’s go to the Bible and see where faith comes from. In Romans we learn that faith is a free gift from God and comes to us at the point of our salvation. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, (Romans 5:1) For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
We also see in (Romans 12:3) God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. Here we learn we are not the originators of our faith. God is the source of our faith measured out to us with salvation through Jesus.
Increase Your Faith
(Romans 10:17) Tells us … “So then faith comes from hearing and hearing by the word of God.”
If we combine this with (2 Cor 10:15) we see that faith can grow, as we study the Bible God can add to our gifts and faith if we keep a humble heart.
Not
boasting of things beyond measure, that is, in other men’s labors, but
having hope, that as your faith is increased, we shall be greatly
enlarged by you in our sphere, to preach the gospel in the regions
beyond you, and not to boast in another man’s sphere of accomplishment. (2 Corinthians 10:15)
And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” So
the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to
this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the
sea,’ and it would obey you. And which of you, having a servant plowing
or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field,
‘Come at once and sit down to eat’? But will he not rather say to him,
‘Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself and serve me till I
have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink’? Does he
thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I
think not. So likewise you, when you have done all those things which
you are commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what
was our duty to do.” (Luke 17:5-10)
Then
He said, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare
it? It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and put in his garden;
and it grew and became a large tree, and the birds of the air nested in
its branches.” (Luke 13:18-21)
Satan’s Perversion
Satan does not want you to take your faith out of your pocket and put it to use.
Satan does not want you to realize that your faith is the key to your gifted purpose in life. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. (James 2:26)
Satan does not want you to develop your muscle of faith. Just like a muscle the more you use your faith, the more it is stretched and toned. The more you exercise your faith muscle, the more God is able to bless your life.
Satan wants you to fear “trials and tribulations”. These are merely conditions of circumstance by which God allows or provides your muscle of faith to be strengthened and refined like gold. Made precious and pure for your life’s purpose.
In
this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be,
you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your
faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is
tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the
revelation of Jesus Christ, (1 Peter 1:6-7)
Pressurized Faith
Just like the numerous inventions of which we have gained enormous benefits; all bear witness to the fact, that air under pressure is essential to our lives, so does the development of your muscle of faith. When your faith is stressed and strengthened due to the pressures brought about during spiritual growth. Our lives are enriched.
Therefore,
having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord
Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace
in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not
only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation
produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured
out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:1-5)
Why Trials and Tribulations?
Think about this, “If you had everything you ever wanted and did not need anyone or anything. Would you still seek Jesus and Pray?” The secular world is full of people who look to other people, science, gadgets, social media, drugs, sex, and a whole host of worldly influences which seek to draw you away from God.
Trials and Tribulations are a wonderful opportunity to get in touch with your faith. “How will you handle the stress and pressure placed on your life?” I ask, “Who or what will you turn to and depend on? Will you depend on yourself, or will you depend on God? Will you turn to Jesus or something else?”
When you turn to Jesus in the day of your troubles; it allows Him to increase your faith by revealing Himself and His deliverance. Answering a response to the very thing causing your troubles. This revealed revelation through using your faith glorifies God, and in turn builds your faith and trust in Jesus. These are opportunities for an intimate loving relationship in which Jesus reveals Himself to You!
Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me. (Psalm 50:15)
Your Faith is Real
Here again, just like the air you breath. You are in it, and the air is in you. You can choose to quit breathing and deny yourself air. You can even depart from the air that surrounds you by submerging yourself in water.
As a result of your denial, there would be a lack of air in you, and you are no longer in the air. However the air is not changed by your denial or departure from it. It is still there.
In this same way, false prophets teach to “depart from the faith” (1 Timothy 4:1). Likewise, people can choose actions to “deny their faith” (1 Timothy 5:8). Faith is unaffected and remains exactly as it was. Faith exists whether we embrace it or whether we deny it, whether we abide in it or whether we depart from it. God provides the faith just as he provides the air. The choice lies within your own self-will and your continued declaration of Faith in Jesus.
Faith Check
Examine
yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you
not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are
disqualified. (2 Corinthians 13:5)
For
it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by
Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth
or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked
works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death,
to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— if
indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not
moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was
preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a
minister. (Colossians 1:19-23)
A Purpose For Faith
Warning: This Christian Vessel Radiates Jesus. I am a Christian filled with extreme Pressurized Faith. I am documented in Heaven’s Book of Life as a certified and lethal Spiritual Weapon. As a Believer and Follower of Jesus as Lord and Christ; I have a built-in proximity discernment sensor with a hair-trigger. Handle with extreme caution. Risks include but are not limited to… Angelic contact, a two-edged sword of truth, bottomless pit imprisonment, Hell fire heated by brimstone with sulfur, and last but not least….direct contact with my Savior Jesus. Ask yourself, “Do you feel Lucky?”
For
we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against
spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12)
Jesus addresses this issue and quickens our awareness of this end times scenario. Jesus questions whether He will really find true unadulterated faith when He returns. Jesus even stated this in His own words: Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:6-8)
The question placed by Jesus is one of, “What are you believing in? Will He find people keeping his word, believing in and obeying it just as it was given, without having denied it or departed from it to follow whatever suits their own religious agendas?”
The apostle Paul said, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7) Paul is referring to his life based on the authority that is in Christ. A faith race whose course is laid down by God. Not a selfish path based ones own desires or false doctrines. Paul is teaching us to “run with endurance the race God sets before us.” We are to look toward Jesus as the author and finisher of our faith race.” (Hebrews 12:1-2)
I ask, “Is your Faith in your pocket, or has it been Pressurized as weapon of Faith Living in your Heart?”
